A lil' Christmas magic...
So I actually did this illustration about a year ago as a commissioned piece for my friend/coworker, Sam Schoeman. It serves the purpose of being his family's Christmas card. I know it's super hokey, but Scott Schweigert insisted that I post Christmas thing on my blog. Actually it turned out he wanted more than just that, but here's my half-ass response to his request. Merry fuckn' Christmas, Schweigert.

SPACE GHETTO!
A random-ass doodle I did a couple of nights ago. I hope you don't mind it's messy aesthetic. The Ghetto-dude was inspired from a sketch that I watched the director draw in the DVD special features from "The Triplets of Belville". The robot was inspired from some old toys I found this weekend. They're super dope and from the 80's! Hope you dig it.

Happy Halloween!
So this drawing really has no concept whatsoever. These monsters were originally just some work- doodles I did this week that just so happened to work for this theme. I did, however, colored them up and made this composition just for you.
Anyhow, and on a more important note, I wish for all of you to go out and have a ghoulishly spooky Halloween!

The Tale of the Soulless Stick-Men...
So this little graphic illustration occurred at the start of my Halloween costume concepts. I noticed that the profile silhouette I drew of myself (far right) had an interesting soullessness about it. I wanted to draw more soulless stick men without any idea of connecting them. I eventually did find a decent composition that I was kinda happy with. Hope you dig it.

Another failed film concept...
Technical stuff abou this drawing: It was all eyeballed and drawn with a Bic ballpoint pen. I did add in the jail on the island and a few other lines in Photoshop. I honestly had this drawing laying around for months now and I'm happy to just see it posted. Hope you dig.

Failed concept...
These are characters I created a while ago when thinking up a new film idea. The concept was simple. Alien monsters attack simple farm folks. Farm folks and aliens engage in super awesome, animated combat.
However, I came up with a better idea so this one is now completely ditched. I still kinda like these characters though and will probably use them for another project. Anyhow, hope you dig.

JACOB!
Jacob is a penis/high school student. Usually he's just kinda awkward, flaccid and insecure. When he feels confident and glorious, Jacob will stand tall and speak in a slower, dumber and deeper voice. He will also give all the ladies everything he's got. Once he's given it everything he has to offer, Jacob typically lets out a loud sneeze and blows snot everywhere. Jacob does his best to stay warm in the winter by bundling up and absorbing whatever he heat he can gain from his pants. These are all matter of fact-facts of Jacob. However, the most important fact that Jacob wants you to know about Jacob is that JACOB LOVES TO PARTY!!!
I apologize to anyone who has lost any faith in me as an artist for this post. I started drawing Jacob as a result of my old roomie, David Reilly (cheddardave.blogspot.com), pointing out that the doodle-lady on the left corner of this page has a penis shaped head. Then I redrew her head- shape and turned it into what it really wanted to be. A highschool-penis student. I then continued to draw Jacob in different moods while explaining his character to David. We were laughing a lot. The scales that you see next to these drawings was David's idea. Anyhow, I've been meaning to post this for months now and I'm proud? that it's finally here. So with that said I hope you dig, Jacob.

Space Gal Sketches
I originally drew these with the thought of painting them on canvas with acrylic and hang them up in the house. However, my girlfriend is very adamant about not having any illustrations of babes on the walls of this apartment so I never did anything with these gals. I would still like to finish what I've started though. Probably with water colors or something. I like those more anyhow. Hope you dig.

Old doodles...
I did this page about 3 months ago. I was really inspired by this music video for this french techno group, "Yelle". I'm in love the singer.
The video for "TEPR Remix" is super awesome. You should watch it.

This is the link for the music video that I referenced. You should watch this too.

Anyhow, I like this page. I hope you do too.

Holy Shit! The walls are painted!
So this is what the wall in our living room apartment looked like before anything was done to it. Big and lonely.
Then about a month ago, my mom suggested that Felicia and I paint the whole damn wall! I was surprised by her suggestion, since I thought it would go against her general rules for decorating a house. She's an interior designer/architect so she knows her stuff. Anyhow, we did some thumbnails together and I pretty much stuck with the third or fourth little sketch we made. She helped me pick out the colors and then I made this to-scale graphic in photoshop. I went through a few other shapes and stuff, but this was the best one. Those little squares with circles painted in them are gonna be designs that I will paint on three canvas's.
Anyhow, this is what it looks like now. We'll be getting a new white couch soon and it'll look super dope. Lemme know what you think.

Prisma Doodles
I did these a while back. About 3 days into our move in. Which reminds me... If you didn't know. I moved to Pasadena with my girlfriend about a month and a half ago. I'm enjoying it here so far.
Anyhow, hope you dig deez doodles. I know they're a little generic, but they're cool since they were colored on paper and drawn with a thin sharpee pen.

Yo, I'll be posting again...
My sincerest apologies for not posting in recent days...weeks....OH ALRIGHT! MONTHS! However, I do have tons of stuff to post and will be posting one thing everyday until Comic Con International (July 23).
So I give you this freshly baked doodle page for your patience. That is if anyone even views this blog anymore.

DAD DAY!
This was the Father's Day Card I made for my dad. He has a fantasy battle ship that he frequently likes to day dream about. So this is a drawing of him living it up. Pretty cheap of me I know, but I think he can appreciate this more than my other hypothetical gift ideas. . . DON'T JUDGE ME! I has me no probems being the cheap, Damn't! I'm cheap! Happy Father's Day!

My Matt Taylor Fan Art...
I'm fortunate enough to be sitting next to one of my good friends at work, Matt Taylor. Today I was looking at his "office" wall where he had some of his drawings hung up. I've always been fascinated by the way he likes to draw profile eyes on his characters. They're always drawn in this flat egyptian style of sorts. Anyhow, I like it so I gave it a shot. We both liked what I turned out. Success!
Go check out his real stuff at Madsbasement.blogspot.com. You'll like what you'll see.

My Bum drawing
Thee Doodles...
So a few posts ago I showed you guys the drawing I made for my Thank You cards this year. It was two chicks screaming and ripping out their hair. I named them my "Thank You Gals". Ben Li left a comment that requested I make some "Thank You Dudes". So I did and here they are. Ben gets to keep the original sketch.
Here's a drawing of some 80's, post-apocalyptic guy with 80's hair.
This here is the second original concept sketch I did for Stacy and Sally. The one on the Right is pretty much the final design. The dumb girl on the Left (your left) needed some work. I'll post those sketches up sometime this week.

"Stacy and Sally"
See those girls in the bottom left corner arguing with eachother? They're Stacy and Sally. "Stacy and Sally"is a web comic idea I conceived of while taking my morning shower several weeks ago. The concept is that they're the dumbest, most selfish, and self-degrading girls in the whole entire universe! I need to make one soon.

Thank You Card Doodle!
This is this year's "thank you card design". I was fortunate enough to have to send these out this year. I call these gals my "thank you babes". The concept is that they want to thank people so hard that they pull out their hair and scream "THANK YOU!" like a million times. It's rather awesome and obnoxious.

Hey, Friends! Celebrate my 25th birthday with me on March 28th!
Hey, Friends,
I spent too much time making this party flyer, but I'm at least happy with how it turned out. Anyhow, what's more important is that you and your friends stop by or stay the night, Saturday March 28th. The party will be at my apartment. So shoot me an e-mail, or give me a call or something if you want to get down and party. It'll be my 25th birthday and I'm ready to celebrate the first quarter of my life.

Party Doodles
So a couple of weeks ago, on a Monday night, I visited an old college-friend of mine, Mike Dobler. He was having a really awesome kickback at his new residence, a warehouse located somewhere in a Los Angeles' industrial zone. It was super cool kickin' back, meeting new people and listening to the incredible electronic music that Mike and his crew where inventing on the spot. This place was one of the most creative environments I've ever set foot in. They had a copper painted G5 hanging from a ceiling beam that you could swing on and a five foot halfpipe to skate in. It really kinda reminded me of Shredder's hang out in the first live action TMNT movie minus the bull shit. I was feeling inspired so I asked one his housemates if I could borrow a pen and paper. He was awesome and hooked it up. Anyhow, I don't think these are particularly good drawings, but I do like them since they were inspired drawings. There was one more drawing page I did that night, but I gave it to my new friend, Richard, who told me he liked it. I really had no choice. hehe.
MY "DINO-RAMA"
I did this doodle sometime last week. I really liked it, because it reminded me of how and what I loved to draw when I was a seven-year old baby kid. Of course this is an updated version of my ancient "drawing style", but I was also generally happy with the shapes I made while drawing these dino-animals. I liked it so much that I wanted to color it, however, I had a hard time coloring it the way I usually do in photoshop. As a result I was pretty much stuck with my first choice of colors. I then added some noise and a gaussian blur to make it easier on the eyes. I very certain that I like the original brush pen sketch more so I posted both of them.

RENDER DOODLES!
I kinda like this guy. He was the result of me rendering out a drawing I didn't care much about at the start. It was a lot fun to just sit down and zone out for a bit while rendering this odd illustration. The sticky tabs on the right were some doodles I did at work while I was waiting for stuff to render. RENDER DOODLES!
It was fun posting tonight. I look forward to posting some more tomorrow.
