MAS DOOODLES!

Just some more work doodles. Some were inspired by other illustrations I was lookn' at today.

Fucked up Doodles

My friend Jackie Buscarino inspired me to draw these. I like them. I think I'll be doing more of these. Too fun.

Vamp Boy Vamp Girl

These are just a couple of lucky and over glorified work doodles.  I hope you don't mind the nakedness.  I figured the vamp gal didn't need any pants and the devil dude's little wiener package was drawn too funny for me to censor.  Either way, I was happy with the way they turned out considering that I tried to finish them quickly so I could get back to work.  Maybe I'll revisit these designs someday... maybe.  Hope you dig 'em.

Some More Sketches

September and October were pretty good sketch months.  I was having a lot of fun figuring out some new techniques and just drawing.

Doodle Mountain

So yeah, these were tons of fun.  I was just up one night and wanted to chill out by doing some doodles.  I first started out doing pencil drawings then I began making some nice confident lines, but they were to light to see on the page without me going back over them and losing their initial energy.  Then I grabbed a ball point pen and had at it.  I did a couple of pages of these nonsense doodles and then decided to consolidate the doodles into composition.  And that's how the drawing you see on the top was made.  I call it "Doodle Mountain".  You should really take a good look around.  You'll find some sneaky, funny stuff.

Rough Pillow Man Animation

I've been getting antsy working with these complicated models for this Guitar Hero project.  So I finally caved and did this stupid animation for fun tonight just so I can remind myself how much I love it.  It worked and I might be doing more stupid rough animations for fun.  I hope you enjoy this and not judge it too harshly considering it was done in an hour and a half.

Alas! I have re-arrived to my own BLAWG!

Hello, I'm very sorry for being such a wiener and not updating this blog in forever. My only excuse is that I've been busy animating dudes rock out with their cocks out for the Next, Next Guitar Hero game staring Metallica. On a lighter note, it turned out pretty good and the best part is we didn't have to camp-out at Titmouse during the course of the project! ZERO CASUALTIES. Awesome. Also my wonderful girlyfriend of 5 years, Felicia, moved in a couple of months ago and it's been harder for me to get around to taking care of my personal internet duties. Now that she's more settled in I think I can start managing the blog again. I really look forward to it. Either way, it's nice to be back.

I leave you with some ugly sketches I did when I was in New York City at the start of the summer. I also leave you with another predictable sexy girl drawing, because I can! Hope you dig it.

My Buddy Junpei Got Put Outta Commission...

This past 4th of July my friend, Junpei, got his face mauled by his own dog when he was giving it a "good-bye" kiss (heheh, ehhhh). The damn thing bit down on both of his cheeks and he had to get 30 stitches on his face! Yikes! Anyhow, this past Tuesday nine other friends, colleagues and I visited him at his house and gave "Junplaya" these get well cards. I was asked to make the card that gets circulated around the office for everyone to sign. It's the large drawing posted with the two ladies giving Junpei a silly boner.

I also posted two other Titmouse workers' get well cards since they're pretty rad and funny. These two awesome animators live outta town and got busy as soon as they heard the news.

Junpei seems to be in good spirits and I look forward to working with him when he returns this coming Monday (I'm hoping).

Sky Fishing for Freckled Babes...

I actually did this one earlier this week. I had to scan it in today, because I'll be giving it to my friend Matt Taylor tomorrow since he liked it so much. I figured he'll be able to provide a warmer and more positive environment for this Freckled Bombshell.

More sketches...

This Sunday I sat down and drew for 4 hrs straight. Blah... my back hurts. HOPE YOU LIKE THEM!

Reinspired...

Yesterday was nice. I went to a tasty curry resturaunt in Little Tokyo for lunch with my friends. Once we finished, we decided that it was too early to go back to titmouse. Happily we went to the Japanese bookstore that was conveniently located 10 feet away from us.

I basically lost my shit when we entered. They had too much good stuff. I "broke the bank" as a result and picked up four new books to add to my library. The stars of this book bindge was "Cannibis Works" by Tanaka Tatsuyuki and "Orange" by Koji Morimoto. Both are absolutely incredible and ridiculously inspiring.

This illustration I did tonight is a result of that inspiration. Hope you dig it.

I'm Back. Finally!

These last 3 weeks have been hectic as heck I tells ya'. Wowee. We finally wrapped up Guitar Hero 4 last Friday morning after camping out at Titmouse for almost 3 weeks! I mean, we would go home maybe 3-4 days of the week, but the rest of the time we were very literally living there. Anyhow, the team and I like the product we made and I can't wait to show screen grabs and video clips once the game comes out. This is the first sketch I got to do outside of work. Nothing special, but I needed to chill out and just do some doodlies. Hope you can dig it.

"Thank-You-Monster"

I made the "Thank-You-Monster" as a stamp of my appreciation to those who were nice enough to think of me on my birthday. Thanks again everyone. This monster is for you!

More Weekend Doodles...

I should be resting or working on something more practical. Nope, instead I decided to have a lot of fun drawing and coloring my own stuff. Unfortunately this was the only image kinda worth posting. Hope ya dig it.

THIS IS NOT MY DRAWING...

Nope, it is a gift from my good friend Kristina Bustemante. If you don't know me personally, the illustration is of me and my girlfriend, Felicia. I love this drawing. It's the warmest visual depiction of my relationship I've ever seen. I believe that it turned out so nicely, because Kristina put a lot of love into it and it really shows. Well, thanks again Kristina, this really touched my heart and means a lot to me. . . . I just need to get the sucka framed now.

Warm-up Work DoodleS

I just had to loosen up today. All drawings done in Flash and thrown together in Photoshop.

I've been meaning to post these for a while...

Here's a few new and revised pages I made for my updated portfolio. The ones I'm most proud of are the two that show every frame of animation from their scenes. It was cool to see them all together on one page. Hope you dig it.

I think I'm the official "party flyer maker"

This is the third one I made in the past two or three months. I at least like this one. It's for my friends, Mark Scott and Nick Bane's, house warming party. I always try to draw these party flyers within 1-2 hrs and with no references. Happy to hear that everyone that knows these guys has told me that I got them pegged. pat on the back.

HERE IT IS! FIELD TRIP DAY!

So we finally made the revisions sometime early last week, but I've been too much of a jerk to post it. Of course the Youtube compression makes it difficult to see all the fine details, but at least you can still hear the one kid saying "fuck" the whole time. It's pretty funny. Hope you enjoy it.

Cheap Knock Out

Field Trip Day

Awesome! So I'm really excited about this one. We were assigned to make a 5 sec short on Valentine's Day at Titmouse. I got together with a couple of my good friends, Matt Taylor and Junpei Takayama to get a rad triforce of sorts going. We decided to title it "Field Trip Day". I gotta say, it was one of the funnest things I worked on in a while.

I posted these jpgs for now. We might want to change a couple things for the film's next render just so that you can see the kids pissing from the boat. More on this film to come.

Gesture

Quick imaginary gesture I did a while back.

I dunno...

It's late, very late. I'll be in bed soon. Had to get the sketches outta me first though. I just ended up experimenting with Corel some more. I don't really know what to make of the "illustration".

Anyhow, on lighter note. I've been recently assigned to animate Metalocalypse for the next couple of weeks. It's been fun so far.

Last weeks party was fun. Sorry if you couldn't make it. The next big one will be sometime early April. It'll be big. . . yay.
