DIE ANTWOORD

So last week at Titmouse our new line producer, Alissa, sent out this mass e-mail to everyone. Inside were these contents http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_pS46YRMIQ

I recommend you watch it and get your mind blown/confused. Anyhow, needless to say it totally inspired me and I quickly became a fan theirs over night.

About this doodle:
I did the initial sketch pretty fast, but then the noodling took me forever. I'm just happy to have a final version to show to you and Die Antwoord tonight. Hope you dig it.

Also check out these videos to see where all of my inspiration came from:

My Dybuuk

I was listening to a short story that I found on my friend's itunes playlist this week. It was called "The Dybuuk in the Bottle". It was a fun little story about an asshole demon that an amateur rabi finds in a bottle near his house and attempts to have the demon do his bidding. However, the Demon makes his living situation rather frustrating so the amateur rabi guy asks an awesome rabi guy to help him get rid of the demon that has taken over his house. The awesome rabi guy assumes ownership of the house and from there is able to beat the demon at his own game. The amateur rabi guy learns a valuable life lesson and gets his home back.

Anyhow, this the what I thought the demon looked like.

A lil' Christmas magic...

So I actually did this illustration about a year ago as a commissioned piece for my friend/coworker, Sam Schoeman. It serves the purpose of being his family's Christmas card. I know it's super hokey, but Scott Schweigert insisted that I post Christmas thing on my blog. Actually it turned out he wanted more than just that, but here's my half-ass response to his request. Merry fuckn' Christmas, Schweigert.

Revisions...

After Felicia bashing the first draft for all of my lazy mistakes I decided to fix them. I also threw in just a little polish for good measure. I'm really surprised to have taken a week to complete this drawing. Oh well, I hope you like this one more than the last one.

A Babe N' 2 Droids

I've been working on this one for the past 3 nights. I stole most of the colors for the middle babe from some other dope illustration that I like. Hopefully this encourages me to get into colors again. Hope you like it.

SPACE GHETTO!

A random-ass doodle I did a couple of nights ago. I hope you don't mind it's messy aesthetic. The Ghetto-dude was inspired from a sketch that I watched the director draw in the DVD special features from "The Triplets of Belville". The robot was inspired from some old toys I found this weekend. They're super dope and from the 80's! Hope you dig it.

Two 90's kids and a contemporary gal...

I've been getting back into 90's music again recently and so I wanted to draw some 90's kids. The babe in the middle is referenced from a picture I found online. Hope you dig them.
