Pleasant, Generic Sketching...

AHHH!  Sorry for the lack of posting!!! I've been so busy the past several months.  ANYWAYS.  I had a little time to do some pleasant, generic sketching tonight.  Hope you dig 'em.

The Killers- Ms. Atomic Bomb

Cool!  It's finally out!  This was my first animation directorial debut.  I was really happy to work so closely with director-director Warren Fu!  And especially my crew of insanely talented artists, animators and compositors that made it all possible.  I hope you like it:V

Motorcity Rough Animation No2

Here’s a breakdown of some animation I did for this weeks episode of Motorcity, “Blond Thunder”.  Originally this was not on my shot list hence I begged Ben Kalina to hook it up. I felt it was an important and iconic shot for the episode and wanted to treat it that way.

I also kept in mind that “No.2” is a sexy and cool character-design and therefore should move sexy and cool. 

Anyways.  I put this video together to share my general animation process with you.  It demonstrates the development and progress of the rough key animation to the final-rough line animation with inbetweens. I hope this is fun and insightful.  Thanks for watching:)

Last night I attended a Jim Mahfood book signing at Meltdown comics.  I picked up his rad "un-official Tank Girl sketchbook".  Anyways, he's been a large influence on my style this past year so I did this sketch with FooD1 in mind.   Dig it.

These are a couple of concept-character sketches I did for my friend Edward Artinian.  He gave me the character descriptions and wanted a sorta 70's/sci fi look.  I don't know if I nailed that or not, but we both felt pretty good about 'em:)  Hope you do too.
